It’s 1am and I’m currently at work writing this blog. As a mom of two beautiful princess, The CEO of Butterfly Cycles LLC, as well as Hustle Mama Seamoss, Butterfly Cycles Hair Care products, who works a 9 to 5, currently the sole provider of my home, a student at IIN and Author just to name a few of my many endeavors, let’s just face facts there just never seems to be enough hours in a day.🤷🏾♀️
“Now please dont get me wrong” I’m amazed at all God has done and continues to do in me and my familys lives and enjoy every bit of it even on my most challenging days.
However there just never seems to be enough time. So as I rise to the occasion to walk boldly into my calling and each amazing door Yahweh continues to opens for me, balance definitely becomes my top priority.
And the best way I can achieve that is by incorporating self care and love into my daily routine.
This means I need to not make time to care for myself but force time! No excuses! Or exceptions!
This could include things like time away from social media, work, school, and reading my favorite book this may even mean time away from my amazing princess! Yup I said it, you heard me right. (Hey don’t judge me)
Time with myself is something that is more than just needed it’s essential, for my well-being for my children’s well-being and all Humanity’s. 🤣🤣🤣 Actually I’m so serious! Common now😏 I know I’m not the only one that gets grumpy off no sleep and being overwhelmed or worked? 😶
lt also teaches my girls what self care and love looks like, and how essential taking care of yourself and loving one’s self actually is.
So I often try to do something even if its just 15mins just for me.
Things like you know, reflect on what I’ve done throughout the week, and pat myself on the back for a job well done, because hey it was hard making that soccer game after I just worked 16 hours (true story ive done that many of times.)
Taking time to meditate and quiet my ever so busy mind, that gose a billion miles per min literally.
Or relax with some simple yoga, clearing blockage from my chakras. A warm bath, facial or heck this could even mean to just do what I love to do the most, which is simply, enjoying nature or just to set in peace looking at the moon and the stars and wondering what is going on up there🤔
Even eating better and working out is forms of self care.
It doesn’t matter what it is we all need that personal time if nothing more than to maintain a healthy mental state, Especially now with things like, Covid-19, killer hornets, and protesting going on in the world. We all could use some CP time.
You know the saying we can’t love anyone anyone else if we dont first love ourselves. Or we can’t pour into anyone if we’re on E ourselves.
Self care and self love 💜 helps us to be the best moms, wives, friend, we can be as well as all around amazing people.
