The Heavenly Graduate

Today I woke up business as usual promoting my book The Butterfly Cycles Of Faith and thinking of ways to get the family restaurant up and running.

Then shortly after I have to head off to my regular 9 to 5. Seems like a normal day right?
However, today is an extremely hard day for me and my family emotionally you see today June 7th 2019 myself and Brandon’s beautiful daughter Quiara was supposed to be walking the stage at her High school to receive her high school diploma.
As I lay in my husband Brandon’s lap in tears myself and Brandon except that for us, as usual, this moment will not be happening. We will not be joining in the wonderful festivities with the rest of the world. because our beautiful daughter Quiara has excepted a greater calling.  However that’s when God reminded me Our daughter along with many other children has excepted the greatest diploma known to man. Eternal life!

However sometimes jealousy sets in and the tears began to flow because we are still human, still her parents and love and miss her so much.
Even though we know that Quiara is alive and well because God is such a loving Faithful Father to continue showing us this, doesn’t mean that we don’t feel the hurt from our daughter’s absence during times like these, as we watch her friends go on without her.
This is just one of the many mild stones a parent faces along our journey in the absence of our Beautiful children.
I encourage you that have friends who have children that went on to be with the Lord who’s children would have been graduating children this year to love on them, call them, send them cards but whatever you do please please just don’t forget them.
And to you all who are like myself and Brandon during this graduating season and missing your babies! List your child’s name here as the class of 2019 and let’s help them graduate. I’ll start.

Father, I pray over every parent who has lost a child reading this including myself please hold us close during this milestone in our lives, Father please give us joy and strength knowing that we are loved and so are our children. Father remind us how you are in full control and right there with us as are children are with you. I pray this in your mighty magnificent son’s Jesus Name! Amen fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.  And you know the way to where I am going.”John 14:1‭-‬4 ESV
Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.  When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.  So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.  In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.John 16:20‭-‬23 ESV
So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.Matthew 18:14 ESV

Beautiful! Congratulations, Quiara! I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that if you were still here with us, you’d be walking across that stage, grinning from ear-to-ear, clowning and all “turnt” up! You’ll always be our graduate. We miss you and honor you! Brandon & Andrea, bless you for bringing such beautiful babies into this world. You are remembered and loved today.

Congratulations to my first born grandbaby! You have the best graduating party there is, today Nana celebrates you!

  3. Wow, a bitter sweet moment in time! I imagine her I my minds eye, walking the stage, accepting her diploma, receiving flowers from her dad, hugging and kissing her little sisters, hugging Ali and Jeremiah and Alencia posing for pictures with Kelly and Calvin, then carmelita and Elisa. I cN see that smile and then her dancing. Then I see her dancing for the Lord and I like that mental image even more. Quiara, we miss you and love you beautiful baby girl. Your joy, energy, creativity and fearlessness along with your faith and great sense of humor added so much to our lives. Congratulations in honor of the things you achieved while here on earth but most importantly on your place in heaven.
